9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. – Justice Focused Housing ~ Anni K. Reinking, Ed. D., Reinking Education Consulting, LLC ~ Montague
In this session we will move between concepts such as compassion fatigue, implicit bias, ladder of inference, and how -isms impact our lives. Once we develop a deep understanding of each topic, we will put it all together through the lens of justice and locus of control. What is within our control as individuals working with the housing authority, while also keeping equity and justice at the forefront of interactions and decisions? You will leave this session with a plan of action to engage with staff in conversations focused on calling people into conversations around implicit bias, rather than calling people out.
