9:00 A.M – Noon – Cynthia L. Gilmer – Vice President of Clinical Services, Human Service Center, Peoria
Cindy will be discussing issues relative to housing persons with mental illness and offer recommendations on how to respond to behavioral situations and explain what housing authorities should expect in the way of support from local mental health service providers.
Cynthia has 34 years of experience working in community mental health primarily with individuals that suffer from symptoms of mental illness and addictions. Hired in as a community based case manager, then ran 5 residential facilities for the mentally ill, and eventually supervised HSC's Emergency Response Services, a 24-hour mobile crisis team dispatched through the Peoria County Sheriff's Department to include a 16 bed Community Crisis Center, with 12 medical detox beds and 4 psychiatric crisis beds.

9:00 A.M. – Noon — Preparing for On-Site and Remote Field Office Reviews - Erik Sandsted, General Engineer at HUD
Erik will be reviewing what HUD is looking for when conducting on-site and remote reviews. His power point presentation will begin with the Notification Letter that will include the list of documents that will be checked. He will go through, point-by-point, the areas that are checked when they are on-site and the areas where they typically have findings. He will share findings that either lead to a troubled status or a failure to reach High Performer Status.
Ted Termunde will be speaking on Porject-Based Vouchers.
Erik and Ted will provide our usual HUD update for attendees during their time with us on Friday
